The EFZRR, 2015-2026

For eleven years we ran the East Falls Zine Reading Room (EFZRR) out of our home in Philadelphia. The EFZRR had a large library of zines as its centerpiece, and the reading room, as we called it, also served as a show space that featured poets, zine makers, comics artists, textile artists, full bands, solo musicians, and video artists. As of 2026 we have closed the EFZRR as it once existed, though we may bring it back in some form. Our zine collection remains intact and is available for reading and research by appointment.

Zines

After participating in the zine community for many years we have amassed a couple thousand zines and artists’ books in a huge range of sizes, styles, and subject matter. So far we’ve cataloged over 1,500 of the items in our collection in a spreadsheet, which includes (as available) the zine’s title, author, subject, and up to four keywords.
