Hit the Decks is printed on 100% sugarcane paper sourced from Argentina, a renewable resource that's unbleached and processed without harmful chemicals. The paper is a beautiful, speckled, off-white. The first run of the mag will be 150 copies, printed entirely on this paper, stapled down the side and taped with binder's tape along the spine. A chonky boy, this magazine will be 28 pages, 8.5x11" in size, and printed in gorgeous grayscale in our home studio. 

The fourth issue, What's Yr Favorite Record?, features: 

• Interviews with Antiquated Future Records and Related Records

• Essays about Enya, Nine Inch Nails, Q Lazzarus, and David Bazan

• A downloadable community album of 16 songs

• Original artwork

• Poems and song lyrics

• Dozens of answers to the vital question, "What's your favorite album?" from readers like you

HtD4 is accompanied by a 12" clear lathe-cut record of what we call the "community album." The records are made right here in our home studio using our vintage record lathe machines. 

The album features 16 new songs contributed—by invitation—by Consonant Collective's members, collaborators, friends, and community at large. Not only is the music itself gorgeous, but the beautiful album jacket was illustrated by Philadelphia artist Alison Lee Chapman and printed by our friends at Fireball. 

And don't worry: Even if you don't have a record player, the zine itself contains a download for the full digital album!
