Vanessa Berry and Katie Haegele are longtime, long-distance friends who have previously collaborated on other zine and book projects. In the fall of 2024 Vanessa travelled from her home in Sydney, Australia and spent several weeks in the U.S., doing research and sightseeing. She spent one week in Philadelphia doing a writing residency of sorts in our home studio.

Vanessa and Katie wrote short meditations on four themes, which they made into an accordion-style zine, with lovely illustrations by Vanessa. We then made recordings of the authors reading their pieces and cut them onto 7-inch records using our vintage record making lathes.
