"Odysseus Escaping the Cyclops" by S. Moody
"Odysseus Escaping the Cyclops" by S. Moody is a three song e.p. of new music from Spencer Moody, embossed onto 12” PETG records at 45rpm using a triangular-point tungsten stylus. These are going to be extremely limited (10-15 copies), and are released with a new batch of Spencer’s paintings.
I know that one part probably doesn’t mean much to you, but it does to us: PETG is a gorgeous type of record we rarely use: it’s clear, heavier than our usual PC records, and the edges are polished. And we normally use a sapphire cone stylus, which gives us about 200 hours of records before you hear any lost of fidelity, while a tungsten tri-point only gives 5-7 hours at higher quality before the sound begins to degrade. In short, these records are special, and present the new pinnacle we’ve reached in our lathe cutting.
Because we’re using a new way to cut these records, they will likely ship in January.
